“It’s important to highlight that beauty in Asia has always been perceived differently from Western countries. But today two different regions of beauty come close, thanks to Cosmoprof Asia. Cosmoprof Asia could blend the value from East based on harmony and essential with the western design, creating new visions at the very end a new market,” said Mr. Romualdo Priore, Executive Marketing Director of Chromavis/Fareva Group, Italy.

“Cosmoprof Asia is as busy as ever and very professionally organised. It’s a pleasure to work with such a professional beauty exhibition. We come here because it is the biggest worldwide in which beauty experts from all five continents come to visit. We will definitely return next year as we meet the right buyers and also exciting clients for our business,” said Joanne Mazzitelli, International Training Director, THALGO Cosmetics, France.

“We are 100% for Cosmoprof events. We exhibit in Cosmoprof Asia since the first edition. It is a ‘must’ for us, as it is a meeting point for branding in the Asian market, just as Bologna is for the European market,” said Patrick Chabert, Director of Ericson Laboratoire, France.

International Buyer Programme

For the 7th consecutive year, Cosmoprof Asia organised the International Buyer Programme to facilitate direct contact between exhibitors and international buyers. Prominent buyers from UAE, Australia, mainland China, India, Japan and New Zealand were invited to meet one-on-one with exhibitors of their choice. During the 3-day event, 172 one-on-one business meetings took place at the International Buyers Lounge.

“This is an excellent programme to put us in contact with quality suppliers. We have very fruitful meetings and placed orders with a UK supplier of depilatory cream and body care lotions. We are extremely satisfied with the pre-fair arrangement and onsite assistance provided by the Cosmoprof Asia team. Thank you!” said Khamidullo Ismatullaev, Managing Director, Worldwide Distribution Center from UAE, the new Focus Country of this edition.

New Nail & Accessories Sector

A new exhibition area has been dedicated to “Nail & Accessories”. Located at the Grand Hall & Foyer, this new sector presented 128 exhibiting companies and was enlivened by the “International Nail Days”, a 3-day programme carried out at the Grand Foyer main stage.

The kick-off seminar on 13 November featured Silvia Fossati, the Editor-in-chief of LOVE NAILS magazine from Italy, who reported on the colours, textures and trends of global nail art. On 14 November, beauty bloggers from Los Angeles, Paris, Hong Kong and Shanghai came together, virtually and in person, at the media event “Let’s Connect with International Beauty Bloggers” to demonstrate unique nail art creations and review the hottest trend for nail and fashion. On the same day, the top 10 winners of the “Like my Nails!” Facebook contest were invited onstage to display their creations and receive their award. The International Nail Days reached a crescendo with the prestigious “Hong Kong Professional Nailist Union Competition 2013” which brought together 250 contestants from around the world.

“It has been a successful experience,” said Tracey Leacock, President of Polychromatic, a Division of Keystone USA. “We want to stay in the Nail sector at the Grand Hall next year. We met many important brands like L’Oreal, Revlon, Coty and many others from Europe and Asia with high profile.”
