The designs have been nominated for a Dutch Design Award in the subcategory Fashion. The designs consist of a blue ensemble with cape and a red evening gown. Queen Máxima wore the blue creation with cape during the investiture ceremony of King Willem-Alexander. The red gown was worn during the subsequent festivities. Selection committee: These special creations constitute an extraordinarily elegant silhouette. For the ensemble that Máxima wore during the investiture, Taminiau applied an ingenious technique that resulted in an innovative variation of the cape. The designs are refreshing and they put the Netherlands as a fashion country on the international map.

Also nominated in the subcategory Fashion are Invert Fashion Footwear (Elisa Joolen) and Voltage (Iris van Herpen). The winner will be announced on October 19 during the festive award show at the Klokgebouw in Eindhoven. For more information, see
