Amsterdam’s Milkshake festival is expanding its (international) wings this year. On Friday, June 16th 2017 Milkshake Festival will take place in the Brazilian city Sao Paulo, one of the most populated cities in the world.

Milkshake is the festival where “nothing should, anything goes”. Everyone is welcome whether you’re fat, thin, small, large, gay, straight, transgender, transvestites, pitch black or white as snow. Milkshake is bringing this motto to the Brazilian LGBTQ community in Sao Paolo. The festival falls in the same week as the annual Sao Paulo Gay Pride, where there will be more than 450,000 international visitors. Milkshake visitors can now travel the world to attend this festival.

The festival will be a mix of national and international artists and stages, including a Milkshake stage. The festival, which has been categorized by the NBC as one of the best open-minded festivals in the world, welcomes 15,000 visitors for this first international edition.

“For us this is an amazing opportunity to show the world where Milkshake stands for and to create an international community where everyone can be themselves,” says founder Marieke Samallo.
