Hanro Designer of the Year 2016
The Salon International de la Lingerie is the largest and most important international tradeshow for the lingerie business. 490 brands from all over the world exhibited at the most recent tradeshow from 23th to 25th January 2016 in Paris.
Each year, the Salon selects one lingerie brand as “Designer of the Year. For 2016, this renowned prize went to luxury brand HANRO of Switzerland. At the ceremony during the press conference on 23rd January 2016, the Jury from Eurovet (the organizers of the trade show) handed over the prestigious trophy to HANRO.
The award as fabrics designer of the year from Interfilière (taking place next to the Salon International de la Lingerie), went to the Austrian textile producer Willy Hermann.
Marie Laure Bellon, CEO of Eurovet, pointed out HANRO’s perfectionist dedication to elegance and quality and praised the brand for its unmistakable handwriting with a clear focus on natural fibers, maximum wearing comfort and timelessly elegant products.
Stephan Hohmann, CEO of HANRO, is delighted about the award as lingerie designer brand of the year 2016: „We feel incredibly honored. This prize rewards the outstanding effort of our team in the last years. As Designer of the Year, HANRO presented the grand final of the official The Selection fashion show – one of the highlights of the Salon International de la Lingerie. In addition to designs from the new Autumn/Winter 2016 collection, HANRO showed fashion pieces which had been especially and exclusively designed for this fashion show in Paris.
